We are not going anywhere this CNY except BBB and Kajang. After finished our lunch at Sushi King Metro Kajang we suddenly stop infront of the stage because there are CNY show such as acrobatic and magic show. Then we stop at Secret Recipe and sitting opposite the stage. We just ordered cake and ice blended chocolate from Secret Recipe.

Husna,Haikal,Haris then take a ride on "kuda" macam biasa. & the kids want "ennan" so I bought them a soft toys of mouse,egg and tomato.

Husna & Haikal with thier new toy "si tikus", "si telur" and "si tomato". Haikal like his new pet "si tikus hitam".

Then we spent our 1 hour watching the free show. I like the show "Si Jandong Hati"...he..he

Our kids concentrate watching the show and haris minum ice blended sorang-sorang dia...so comot.

BAMMA Art Class

We send our kids to BAMMA art class every Saturday morning after Husna piano lesson. In the class my kids will mingle around with other kids and mostly chinese. They learned colouring, drawing, creative art etc. All materials such as colours, papers provided by the school. The fee is RM 60 for creative class for Haikal and RM 70 per month for art class for Husna.

Swimming time with kids.

We try at least once a week on Saturday or Sunday to swim together at Equitorial Bangi swimming pool. Husna and Haikal always asked to go for swim but we have very tight schedule on Saturday. Both of them will go to art class and Husna to attend piano lesson in Kajang. So we will plan to go for swim either in the Saturday evening or on Sunday.

During the school holidays we have a great time together - we watched movie, shopping, eating and loitaring at few places - IKEA, IKANO, Sunway Pyramid, IOI Mall, Warta and Alamanda.

During school holiday 13th March 2008, we (me, Haikal & Husna) went to Mid Valley Megamall for leisure.

First we bought tickets for the movie The Spderwick Chronicles. Then we have lunched first at Mc Donald. While waiting for the movie, Husna and Haikal wanted to have fun with sand glue colouring.

KUALA TERENGGANU: Jawatankuasa Fatwa Majlis Kebangsaan Bagi Hal Ehwal Agama Islam hari ini memutuskan bahawa hukum melabur dalam Skim Amanah Saham Nasional (ASN) dan Skim Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) adalah harus.
Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Fatwa, Prof Datuk Dr Abdul Shukor Husin, berkata hukum bagi pembayaran dividen hasil pelaburan kedua-dua skim berkenaan juga adalah harus.
“Dengan sebab itu kita merasakan bahawa masyarakat Islam tidak perlu ragu-ragu lagi terhadap status melabur di dalam skim ASN dan ASB,” katanya kepada pemberita selepas Majlis Muzakarah Jawatankuasa Fatwa Majlis Kebangsaan Bagi Hal Ehwal Agama Islam kali ke-80 di sini hari ini.

Huraian daripada majlis fatwa Perak seperti berikut:-

Untuk makluman tuan mesyuarat jawatankuaa syariah perak yang berlangsung pada 1
Ogos 1992, membuat keputusan berdasarkan pendapat terbanyak serta dengan alasanalasan
syarak yang dikemukakan adalah seperti berikut :
“Bermuamalah dengan skim ASN dan ASB adalah harus dan segala
keuntungannya berupa dividen atau bonus hukumnya HALAL”.
Antara alasan-alasan yang dikemukakan ialah :

1. Penglibatan umat Islam dengan skim ASN dan ASB yang ditaja oleh kerajaan begi
membiak, mengembang dan meningkat ekonomi orang Islam di Negara ini yang
bermuamalah atas jalan kirad. Apabila didapati pelaburannya kepada yang halal
lebih banyak daripada yang haram hukumnya adalah HARUS sepertimana nas yang
terdapat didalam kitab.

2. Kedudukan ekonomi anak bumi khasnya umat Islam di negara ini dalam keadaan tenat
dan sampai ke tahap darurat. Darurat yang dimaksudkan itu ialah dilihat dari aspek
ekonomi umat secara berkelompok bukan dari sudut individu.

Ahli mesyuarat bersependapat bahawa bermuamalah dengan skim ASN adalah harus dan hasil yang diperolehi daripadanya (dividen atau bonus) adalah halal. Amanah Bumiputra ASB pelaksanaannya sama seperti ASN yang dahulu (sebelum diurusniaga di dalam Bursa Saham Kuala Lumpur (BSKL) bahkan ia adalah kesinambungan kepada ASN bermuamalah atau melabur saham kepada ASB adalah juga harus dan hasil keuntungan daripadanya adalah halal. Tidak harus bagi seseorang itu meminjam wang secara berfaedah yang bertujuan untuk membolehnya membeli saham (ASB & ASN).

Head Lamp Polisher

Since a month ago, I am seaching for workshop for cleaning my yellowish head lamp of my RAV4. On Friday last week, I went to Ozone to tinted my VIOS, while waiting for the tint job to be completed, I have seen the picture of head lamp car cleaning in the workshop. So I am interested to know further about the work. Based on explanation from the salesgirl, it took few hours to clean up the yellow head lamp and will depent on the plastic condition. And the cost is around RM 150 - RM 180 depend on car model.

So, I try to find out other solution by browsing in the net:-

Solution 1

Kebanyakan headlamp keta model skrg diperbuat dari plastik etc.akan menjadi kuning/smoke..contohnya B14,U13...dan beberapa model yg lain.
kali ni aku nak share dgn hangpa semua tentang kaedah/cara2 nak bagi headlamp keta anda yg.sudah jadi color smoke(kuning) supaya menjadi jernih seperti baru.sebab aku dah try guna kaedah ni pada dugong aku.disebabkan ramai yg bertanya apakah rahsia headlamp dugong aku sentiasa baru,ikutilah langkah2 yg.diberikan..

bahan/barang yg diperlukan;

1.spray gun,air compressor with water n oil extractor..
2.tack rack/cloth,kain pengelap..
3.1000-1500 grit abrasive paper..
4.150 mesh paint strainer..
5.set clearcoat 2k,thinner 2k..kalu beli 1L,boleh share buat ramai2
6. 1" masking tape,surat khabar lama..

kaedah:

1.masking/cover bahagian headlamp pada bahagian yg tidak perlu spt.
lining frame headlamp,serta bahagian lain spt.grill,fender,bahagian
enjin serta mana2 bahagian yg dirasakan perlu..
2.gosok/sanding pada seluruh permukaan headlamp yg kuning dgn
1000-1500 abrasive paper..pastikan seluruh permukaan digosok.
3.bancuh clearcoat 2k mengikut jumlah yg dikehendaki.pastikat nisbah
bancuhan tepat mengikut spec.pengeluar..tambah sedikit thinner 2k
pada bancuhan untk mengurangkan kelikatan..AWAS! jgn terlalu cair..
4.tapis bancuhan clearcoat 2k dgn 150 mesh paint strainer ketika
bancuhan dituang kedalam spray gun(container)
5.setting spray gun..tekanan sederhana dgn jumlah cat sderhana..
6.lap/cuci permukaan headlamp dgn tack rack/cloth.paling tidak pun dgn
pengelap yg kering.
7.spray 1 layer thin coating..biarkan dlm jangkamasa 5-10 min utk 1 coating..ulang sehingga 3-4 layer.pastikan semburan yg di buat rata pada
semua permukaan..jgn kasi meleleh tau!!....
8.biarkan kering dlm 2-3 jam,kemudian tanggalkan segala masking

Solution 2

gosok pakai autosol......1st, pakai kertas pasir paling halus + water then gosok lagi pakai autosold.......pakai autosold jer hehehe tenyeh jgn kuat2( nanti ader calar hairline ) lembut jer pastu bulat2 then basuh air sabun , lawa dah

second method

kalo nak lawa agi gi kedai hardware carik plastics polishers brand 3M punyer lagi bagus siap ader UV protection hehehe terus tak kuning2 dah.plastics polishers pasir dia lagi halus dari autosold itu jerr

At the end, I went to Brothers and found the cheapest product to solve my problem.
Already tried and it was succesful. I will post photos of my new look head lamp.

The product is actually malaysian product and the price in R8.50 only.

New Tyre

I have change my tires to Falken S/TZ04 at Yup Soon Tire Kelana Jaya.
This Falken tyres are the cheapest tyres I got it after surveyed for Yokohama, Toyo and Bridgestone. I would like to compare the price

Falken (made in Japan) 215/70/16 RM 300/tyre (May 2007)
Yokohama (made in Philiphine) 215/70/16 RM 280/tyre (April 2006)
Toyo (made in Japan) 215/70/16 RM 350/tyre
Bridgestone Dueler 687 215/70/16 RM 330/tyre
Bridgestone Turanza 235/60/16 RM 450/tyre

Instead of tyre balancing, I also did tyre alignment and adjust champer. Total cost is RM 1250.00

Tensioner, Water Pump and De-Squeak

On Tuesday I took onleave to service my RAV4. To minimise the clicking noise from the belt I need to replace the fan belt tensioner. The mechanic check the engine and found that the noise is coming from the belt and tensioner. After checking the tensioner, he found that the waterpump has a bit leakage on it. So I need to replace both tensioner and water pump.

I bought the tensioner from Wing Hing for RM 400. At Wing Hin I also bought Toyota coolant RM 18 and front R/L wiper insert RM 30 and RM 35.

For the water pump the workshop offer me the after market water pump which made on Japan http://www.gmb.jp. It cost me RM 280 instead of OEM water pump from Toyota high price at RM420.

To minimise the noise from the brake pad and rotors, I need to spray chemical de-squeak at both surface of the rotors. It cost me RM 40/tin.

Total labour cost for tensioner and water pump replacement are RM 150

ATF for my RAV4

Yesterday I changed the ATF for my RAV4 for 45000km milege. The dealer is Ah Kim Motors Sdn Bhd at No3 Jln 230 Section 51A 46100 PJ tel 03-78750484. They do the ATF flush rather than normal ATF change. Using ATF flush will change 80% of the ATF oils and only 50% oil change for normal ATF change. All cost me RM210 which is for 2 tin (4 liter/tin) for the ATF and RM50 for the labour. Actually you could find the ATF from the spare part shop with cost you around RM60 for four liter. The ATF oil change only need around 6 liter oil. The balance of the oil can be used for the power steering oil which only need less than 1 liter. ATF changing interval recommended at 40000km or 2 years whichever come first.

Toyota recommended the ATF Type T - IV for RAV4

New Tyre and Brake Pad

I bought a pair of new tyre to replace of my RAV4 worn tyres. I still using the original tyre for RAV4 which is bridgestone dueler 215/70/16. This two tyres cost me about RM 630 which is RM 315 per tyre. This is the chepest price I have found. This tyre made in Japan. The dealer proposed to me to use the 235/60/16 which more wider than 215/70/16 bridgestone Turanza. At the website the Turanza tyre are claimed as silence and smooth tyre. I may think to change the tyres to Brigestone Turanza next time.The Turanza will cost me RM 430 per tyre. My existing Dueler still look ok and can be used up to another 40,000 km.

My Home Town Full with water

Just to share with you readers on the flood photos which happended at my home town, Kota Tinggi started from 21 Dec 2006 to 24 December 2006. I havent got the opportunity to help the people there but hopefully the government will take neccessary action to upgrade the infrastructure such as to widen the river, at the town of Kota Tinggi.

Blood Test Result

Today I received a call from the hospital around 7.20 am and just to informed me that they already have a fax result on my blood test. Hugh it make me so uncomfortable because normally receiving called at that time just only for an emergency called like death acknowledgement etc. Actually the hospital owed me the blood test result since I made the blood test on 22 November 2006. So may be they want to show their guilty then called me firstly in the morning.

In summary, the result were ok but need to improve my lipid level. I was in the borderline Total Cholesterol and high Triglycerides. My HDL (good cholesterol) looks good and my LDL (bad cholesterol)is slightly higher than the ideal level. My glucose is within the ideal range.

Below are the complete result.

Total cholesterol 5.6 mmol/L (borderline) last time 5.5
HDL 1.23 mmol/L (normal) last time 1.18
LDL 3.18 mmol/L( (above optimal) last time was not calculate becoz high of Triglycerides
Triglycerides 2.60 mmol/L (still high) last time 5.09
Ratio Cholesterol/HDL 4.6 (normal) last time 4.66

Glucose 4.8 mmol/L last time 7.1 mmol/L(ideal range 3.9-7.7)

I got below information from the internet.

However, it is believed that the triglycerides/HDL ratio is one of the most potent predictors of heart disease as HDL is closely related to triglycerides. A Harvard-lead study author reported:

"High triglycerides alone increased the risk of heart attack nearly three-fold. And people with the highest ratio of triglycerides to HDL -- the "good" cholesterol -- had 16 times the risk of heart attack as those with the lowest ratio of triglycerides to HDL in the study of 340 heart attack patients and 340 of their healthy, same age counterparts.

The ratio of triglycerides to HDL was the strongest predictor of a heart attack, even more accurate than the LDL/HDL ratio (Circulation 1997;96:2520-2525)."

The result : Triglycerides/HDL = 2.6/1.23 = 2.11 (mine should be ok)
Under < 2
Example:
110 TRG:60 HDL = < 2
The lower the number (TRG:HDL ratio), the better - the lower your risk of heart attack.

Also you could check by using the HDL/TC Ratio:
HDL divided by Total Cholesterol (TC)

The result : 1.23/5.6 = 0.22 (mine was low level ideal should be 0.30 and above)
Above > 0.24
Example: 80 HD:190 TC = 0.42
The higher the number (HDL:TC ratio), the better - the lower your risk of heart attack.

So, what I need to do starting from today is to control my diet/menu and more physical exercises. Then I will do another blood test in one or two months time to know either my diet/menu and exercise help me in order to reduce my high Triglycerides which can cause heart attack.

Serpentine Belt

Huurgh...my RAV4 serpentine or single belt was broken down on Tuesday night after my outside dinner. Luckily it happened in front of my house. So, I need to replace with new belt on Wednesday and so what ...i took an emergency leave. The serpentine belt function is for the power steering, air cond, and water pump for the radiator coolant system. All cost me RM245 using www.gates.com belt instead toyota OEM high price at RM470. So today i feel safe and drive smoothly to the office.

Another Blood Test

This morning before taking my daily breakfast I went to a clinic to have another blood test. The doc informed me if that the Triglycerides will depend on yr glucose level in yr blood. So no wonder my Triglycerides was high yesterday. So, the result will be posted after three days. The clinic will call me.

I got the time slip from the clinic. So before drive to office I have my breakfast at Kopitiam, just ordered low cholesterol menu half boiled eggs, bread and a cup of coffee.

Today, i just drop by at the open counter for health test in my office after my lunch. Then the result as follows:

Lipid
Total cholesterol 5.5 (borderline)
HDL 1.18 (normal)
LDL (not calculate becoz Triglycerides high)
Triglycerides 5.09 (high)
Cholesterol/HDL 4.66 (normal)

Glucose 7.1 (within the range of 4.0-7.8)

Blood pressure 120/70 (excellent)

The consultant recommended to do another test but i need to fast or not taken breakfast.

For high Triglycerides it can cause heart disease and diabetes mellitus. The doc recommended me to take a lot fish rather than meat or chicken, more vegetables and fruit. She also suggested olive oil/canola oil (brand NATUREL) for cooking. Just curious either she is promoting the oil or got commission...he he..

Never mind. I plan to do another blood test tomorrow. Hopefully everything is ok...
